Tasks are short and self-contained. You accept the ones you want; nothing is assigned to you without your acceptance.
Record utterances
Read prompts aloud, answer scripted questions, or speak naturally on a given topic in your own dialect.
Transcribe audio
Write down what you hear, following the project's spelling and tagging conventions for dialect and code-switching.
Compare two AI answers
Read two model responses to the same question and judge which is better, and say why, against a written rubric.
Test a voice agent
Call an AI assistant like a real customer would and report where it misheard, stalled or answered wrongly.
Expert review
For verified professionals: check AI output in medicine, law, engineering or finance for factual and practical correctness.

Every task you submit appears in your earnings ledger with its rate and its current state. Nothing is hidden and nothing is estimated.

FAQ
Questions people actually ask.
- Is it free to join?
- Yes. Applying is free and it always will be. LAHJA AI will never ask you to pay a registration fee, a training fee or a deposit. If anyone claiming to represent us asks you for money, it is not us — tell us at network@lahja.ai.
- Do I need special equipment?
- For most projects, no. A modern smartphone in a quiet room is enough. Some projects specify a headset or a wired microphone, and that requirement is stated before you accept the task, not after.
- How much can I earn?
- Earnings are per task and vary by project, task type, length and the expertise required. Specialist and credential-verified work pays more than general recording. Every task shows its rate in DZD before you accept it, and we do not promise a monthly income — the amount of available work changes with the projects we are running.
- When do I get paid?
- After a submission is approved it moves to the payable balance, and payments are issued in scheduled runs. Payments are made manually by bank transfer, mobile wallet or cash, in Algerian dinars. Your ledger shows every task and its state, so you can always see what is pending, approved and paid.
- Is my voice data protected?
- Your recordings are stored privately and are never published on a public link. Datasets are delivered to clients with a pseudonymous contributor ID rather than your name or contact details. You give explicit, versioned voice-recording consent before any audio task, and you can request account deletion at any time.
- Can I work from any wilaya?
- Yes — the work is remote and we actively need contributors from outside Algiers and Oran, because regional dialect coverage is the point. Some projects set quotas per region, so availability varies with where you are.
- What if my submission is rejected?
- You get the specific reason: background noise, clipping, wrong dialect, off-script content or an annotation error. Many rejections come back as a resubmission request, which means you can fix it and be paid for the corrected version. Rejected work is not paid, and repeated rejections lower your quality score.
- Do I need a diploma?
- Not for most work. Recording, transcription and evaluation tasks are open to any qualified native speaker. A diploma or professional licence is only required for expert review projects, and in those cases we verify the credential before assigning work.
